Community Education

CPI Fluid Engineering Invests in Community Education

We champion the belief that education & learning are essential ingredients to the success of our youth.  CPI furthers the exposure of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math & the Arts) initiatives in our communities, as well as Innovation & Business.  We support area schools & organizations by offering programs on-site at CPI as well as partner locations.

CPI participates in a number of activities that aim to increase STEAM education for local students, members of groups (such as Boy Scouts of America) and the youth of our communities in general.  We combine solid scientific principles with fun activities to engage the children in learning and exploration of potential future STEAM careers.  Sharing knowledge about chemistry, mathematics and other scientific fundamentals to various groups is just one way in which we enhance education in our community.  Providing hands-on examples of what students learn in school helps enrich their lives and makes education exciting

CPI has the privilege of working with many different groups & organizations throughout our region here in Michigan.  We enjoy watching our next generation get involved in STEAM activities, and look forward to integrating youth who are passionate about STEAM careers into our workforce in the future.  A few of the organizations we have worked with to further STEAM education are featured below.  Please take a moment and read about these inspiring organizations and the work they are doing to educate & inspire our community.

CPI partnered with Midland Center for the Arts to sponsor the Design Zone Exhibit for 2017. The event allowed visitors to go behind the scenes and see how video game developers, music producers, roller coaster designers, and other creative problem solvers use math to do amazing things.

CPI has visited all three of The ROCK’s after school program locations to participate in fun educational activities.  We made slime with the youth for the launch of the new ROCKit STEM project.  The ROCK Center for Youth Development is a teen-focused organization that helps youth succeed and thrive.

In honor of a former CPI employee who passed away very unexpectedly, Nicholas J. Sperry, we donated books & Kindles to The Legacy Center for Community Success.  Nicholas enjoyed volunteering his time in the community, and had a passion for promoting literacy.  The Legacy Center turns the dream of being able to read and understand language into a reality through three core programs.
