February 25, 2019 – We are pleased to announce Mike Costello has accepted the role of Director-Strategic Research & Innovation (SRI) at Lubrizol/CPI. In his role, Mike will oversee the planning and execution of new technology platforms, development of intellectual property pipelines for sustainable growth, and become a spokesperson for CPI with key industry stakeholders. Mike possesses technical expertise in chemistry and lubricant formulation, as well as product development programs for industrial and refrigeration compressors.
Prior to joining Lubrizol, Mike worked as Manager of Compounded Lubricants for Cognis/BASF Corp since 2007. He has also worked from Crompton/Chemtura Corp. as a Research Scientist for five years prior to his most recent role. Mike received his BS in Chemistry from Virginia Tech and his Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from Purdue University.
